Aging is not for Sissies!

...plain and simple, "aging is not for sissies"! That's right, everybody ages, gets older, deteriorates- call it what you want, but since this is a given, the question becomes what are you going to do about it besides whine?
To age slower than your actual age, workout, to age faster than your actual age, don't workout.
Nothing slows down the rate of deterioration more than a balance of resistance and cardio workouts. The tricky part: knowing how to maneuver your way around your workout to not aggravate and/or antagonize any physical limitations you have because of aging. Your trainer's expertise, if you have one, should be utilized as one of the components in the assessment phase and workout recommendation of any workout. But with all that said, you still have to GET IT DONE. This is where the "sissy" part gets the better of you; your mental toughness needs to override your uncomfortableness from aging. Your choice and quality of life is in your hands.
So, an important thing to remember: you are most likely older than your chronological age if you do nothing, but can be younger than your chronological age if you're willing to suffer a little. Good Luck!
